Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Canada and Mohs micrographic surgery remains the gold standard for achieving optimal cure rates and tissue preservation. About Halton Dermatology & Skin care

Dr. Bhavik Mistry

BHSc, MD, FRCPC, DABD, FACMS

Medical Director and Founder of HDSS 


Dr. Bhavik Mistry is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon in both Canada and the United States with advanced training in a broad range of complex dermatological surgeries, including over 10,000 mohs surgeries.


Having been born and raised in Burlington, he is now returning home and eager to serve the community where his education began. He attended Robert Bateman High School, completed an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University, earned an MD at the University of British Columbia, and completed his Dermatology Residency (Co-Chief) and Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Toronto. 


He has published in various national and international peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at several conferences including the Canadian Dermatology Association and the American Academy of Dermatology meetings.


Dr. Mistry is an active member of the Canadian Dermatology Association, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Board of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatology Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. 


Outside of medicine, he enjoys golfing, watching the Raptors, spending time with family and travelling.
